UBERTI 1851 & 1861 NAVY REVOLVER CONVERSION CYLINDER .38LC
UBERTI 1851 & 1861 NAVY REVOLVER CONVERSION CYLINDER .38LC
This blued conversion cylinder converts steel frame Uberti 1851-61 Navy revolvers from .36 black powder to .38LC smokeless ammunition. The conversion can be ordered with or without the roll engraved naval battle scene to match the black powder cylinder engraving.
Due to the over sized barrel bore on these black powder revolvers, for the best accuracy hollow-base bullet ammunition should be used. Reloading/loading is done by removing the barrel, the cylinder, and then removing the cylinder cap from the cylinder. The cylinder contains 6 firing pins retained by threaded doughnuts.
The cap is reinstalled by lining up the hole in the cap with the silver guide pin on top of the cylinder. If shooting black powder ammunition the firings pins must be removed and cleaned to avoid corrosion. No frame modification is needed, although minor fitting may be required due to gun manufacturer variations.
If you order the conversion cylinder and gun on the same order Taylor's will fit your first conversion cylinder to your gun at no charge before it ships out as a complimentary service. Cylinders must ship separate from the black powder revolver if purchased at the same time and this may result in additional shipping charges.
